Gratitude

Posted by Cristina L. Filippo on 11/20/2018

Thanksgiving is a treasured time for us to slow down, be present in the moment, and reflect on the people, places, memories and magical moments that make life itself so exceptional.  We take this time to come together with our family and friends to celebrate.

Every year around the table at my house we ask:
"What are you most grateful for this year?"
It is such a powerful question.

I invite you to take a moment with me to consider all the things in your life - both big and small – that you could be grateful for.  As you spend time with those dear to you this week just notice all there is to appreciate.

What if we chose to be grateful for both the gifts and the challenges – all that life offers us?  What if we took on the belief that everything In life Is happening for us, and is intended for our growth?  When we view our lives through the lens of gratitude and appreciation we experience a level of freedom and fulfillment like never before – there is no room for anger or grudges.

So let’s choose gratitude over grumbling this Thanksgiving.  Share with those you love what they mean to you.  Thank them with small kindnesses and big hugs.  Send a note, get down on the floor and play with a child, share a drink, watch a movie, listen without response, and find out what “Good” really means when you ask how someone is.  Time is our most precious commodity...what better way to spend it...gratefully...investing in and giving it freely to those you love.

In Deep Thanks and Gratitude,
The Impact Team
